We’ll show you how to make a super easy Easter craft with a toilet paper roll, without painting it as we think it looks super cool just as it is.
How to Make the Toilet Paper Roll Bunny
What you need:
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- black marker
- toilet paper roll
- white paper
- pink paper
Step by Step Tutorial
You will need one toilet paper roll for making one bunny. If you want to make shorter cute bunnies, you can also cut it in half, making two bunnies out of one roll.
Start with the eyes. The simplest way is to just use black marker and draw two black dots or to use googly eyes or googly eye stickers.
If you don’t have googly eyes at hand, you can have the kids cut two circles out of white paper and stick them on the toilet paper roll.
Using a black marker, draw pupils inside the white paper circles to complete the eyes.
From pink-colored paper, have kids cut out a small triangle.
Apply glue to the back of the pink triangle and have them glue it under the eyes to make the bunny’s nose.
Draw whiskers around the nose with black marker.
Below the nose, have your child draw a tiny mouth using the black marker.
Have kids take a piece of white paper and fold it in half.
Guide them to draw an ear-like shape on the folded paper and then cut along the lines.
This will create two identical white bunny ears.
Using the same process as before, have kids draw slightly smaller ear shapes on pink paper, cut them out, and then glue each pink ear onto a white ear to create contrast.
Apply glue to the inner side of each ear and stick them on the (inside) top of the toilet paper roll.
Ensure all the glued parts are secure and allow the bunny to dry if necessary.
Once dry, your toilet paper roll bunny craft is complete!
If you have pom poms, you can also stick one on the back to make a fluffy bunny tail.
We think it looks so cute!
More Toilet Paper Roll Bunnies
You can also paint the paper rolls white and use ribbons to make the adorable toilet paper roll bunnies even cuter.
Older kids can also add feet to their lovely creations.
Arms and legs can be cut out of paper and glued to the paper tube bunny or your kids can draw them with a marker. It turns out cute either way.
While natural, white and such bunnies are certainly nice, adding a splash of color (especially Easter colors) takes this Easter craft to a whole new level.
Have your kids use their imagination and make all kinds of fun bunny creations.
Once they make their first bunny they will be asking to make more.
