A fan of sunflowers? So are we! This time around we are showing you how to make a wonderful rosette sunflower paper craft.

We plant sunflowers in our garden every year, they make the most wonderful decoration and are an excellent natural bird feeder.
It’s really fun to watch all the different birds that fly in and serve themselves with a mouthful of sunflower seeds. It’s even more fun to find “bird planted” sunfloweres the next year.
We rarely have the chance to put one of our sunflowers in a vase and to be honest we like them the most just where they are outside BUT we do think these paper sunflowers are equally gorgeous.
This craft can also be used to decorate a bulletin board inthe classroom – make them and stick photos of your students in the middle. Fun and cute.
How to Make a Rosette Sunflower Paper Craft
What you need:
- yellow paper (we used regular print paper)
- green paper
- brown paper
- glue
- tape
- scissors
Optional: sunflower seeds to decorate the center.
If your kids are used to dealing with a glue gun, you can use that too.

Or Follow These Step By Step Instructions on how to Make a Paper Sunflower
We made our flower with a sheet of print paper (letter/A4).
Fold the sheet of paper in half and cut it.
Start folding the paper – make an accordion fold.
Fold all the way to the end of the sheet.
When done, fold in half.
And glue together.
Some of the last folds will need a dab of glue in the middle too.
Repeat with the other half of the yellow sheet of paper. Glue both halves together.
Cut a smaller circle out of brown paper. Glue it onto your sunflower rosette.
Roll the green paper to make the stem. 
Cut of any excess paper (you can do this beforehand too)
Glue.
Cut leaves out of green paper and glue them onto the stem.
Apply glue on the stem.
Press the sunflower rosette on the stem.
Secure with tape.
