We’re still not done with the festive Christmas crafts for kids – today we are making a fun looking Santa Paper Plate Craft. Ready? Let’s get crafty!
Jolly Santa Paper Plate Craft
What you need
- Paper plate
- Tan, white, light pink, and black craft paint
- Paint brush
- White and red card stock
- Hot glue/ hot glue gun
- Pen/pencil
- Small wooden dowel
- Cotton balls
- Scissors
Place a old piece of newspaper onto your craft surface before you start. Paint your plate with your cream paint, let dry, paint a second coat and let dry.
Draw a large hat onto your red paper and cut out with scissors. Carefully glue the back of your hat to the top of the cream plate.
Use your fingertips to paint on your white circle eyes below the rim of the hat, light pink circle cheeks and a pink/cream oval nose and let dry.
Now carefully hot glue cotton balls to the rim of the hat
Cut your white paper into 1/2″ or so strips and wrap your each strip around your wooden dowel to curl your paper.
Hot glue one curl to the bottom of the plate a little under the nose, making sure the curl side is facing up.
Now cut an 1″ off two strips and hot glue them to each side of the middle strip.
Then cut an 1″ off another two and glue to the side of the above pieces and continue till the bottom of Santa face is filled with a beard.
Now open and spread out two cotton balls and place one under the nose and one on the tip of Santa hat.
