You can make one for each of your friends and surprise them for Halloween – we bet they will jump for joy.
How to Make a Paper Spiderweb Craft
What you need:- orange cardstock
- black cardstock
- white paper (or white cardstock)
- black marker
- glue
- scissors
- compass
- pencil (and an eraser to erase the pencil marks afterward)
- split pin
- silver marker
- ruler
- googly eyes
Let’s go!
Step by Step Tutorial
On the orange cardstock, draw a 15 x 15 cm square.
Cut it out using scissors.
Take the black cardstock and cut out four identical triangles.
Glue the triangles on each corner of the orange square.
On the white paper, draw one web string. We will complete the web later.
Cut out the web using scissors.
Take the compass and draw a circle in the middle of the web. Our circle has a 4,5 cm diameter.
Cut this circle out.
On another piece of white paper, draw a circle bigger than the circle you drew in the middle of the web.
Our circle has a 6 cm diameter.
Cut it out with your scissors.
Take the circle, close the web hole, and connect the circle to the web with a split pin.
Split the ends of the pin afterward, so the circle stays attached to the web.
Check if the circle opens and closes correctly and that it covers the hole completely.
Cover the hole with the circle and complete the web – draw the rest of the strings with the black marker.
Glue the web on the orange cardstock as shown. Be careful not to apply glue on the movable circle.
On the black cardstock, draw a tiny spider and a vertical string.
Cut them out.
Glue your spider and the string onto the orange cardstock inside the hole.
With a silver marker, draw a spider’s mouth and also cover the hanging string in silver.
Glue the googly eyes on the spider.
Your finished project should look like this.
Done!
We hope you like this itsy-bitsy spider!
See you soon with more crafts.
Stay tuned!
