This is a wonderful classroom craft idea for Easter as it’s easy enough and fun enough for preschool and kindergarten. I’m sure we can all agree that as soon as they will hear they will be making bunny butts there will be lots of laughs and giggles.
As this craft is on the frugal side that’s just another plus for teachers.
Have each of the students make their own bunny butt craft (you can even have them add ears) and display all of their creations on the wall. Who wouldn’t love a wall full of funky looking bunny buts? We’re fans!

Bunny But Paper Plate Craft
What you need:
- 1 large white paper plate
- Grey paint
- Paintbrush
- Pencil
- Grey construction paper
- Pink construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick or white glue
- 1 large white pom pom or cotton ball
Optional – glue gun
Don’t have the supplies? You can easily switch up a few – use paper instead of paper plates and have the kids cut the circles.
Use white paper or tissue paper for bunny tail instead of cotton ball.
Pink paint instead of pink construction paper works out just as fun.
Let’s Make the Bunny But Paper Plate Craft
Paint the entire front of the paper plate with the grey colored paint. Set aside to dry.
Draw 2 bunny paws on the grey construction paper.
Cut out 2 large circles (3 inches in diameter) from the pink construction paper. Glue each circle in the middle of each paw.
Cut out 6 small oval shapes, about 1 inch long. Glue an oval shape on top of each bunny “toe.”
Apply glue to the back of each bunny paw and place towards the bottom of the paper plate, one on the left side and one on the left side. The toes should be faced down and outwards. Press down firmly for 10-15 seconds.
Apply glue to the middle of the plate and place the large fluffy pom pom on top. Press down firmly for 10-15 seconds.
