- Red and pink yarns
Step by Step Tutorial
The materials are very basic for making something as adorable as this V-Day wreath.
You are going to start this wreath out by painting a plate pink.
Draw a heart on red paper that fits in the center of the plate.
Draw eyes and a mouth.
Draw two pink circles for blush.
Go ahead cut out the circles and glue them on her face.
Cut longer equal pieces of red and pink yarn and loop them onto the bottom of the plate.
Take a piece of yarn, fold it in half.
Take the yarn and loop it around the circle.
You can make the loop by feeding the longer piece of the yarn into the hole of the top piece.
Tighten the loop so it stays on the paper plate. Don’t tighten it too much because you don’t want to rip it off the paper plate.
Continue doing this until you feel as though you have a lot of pink and red string on the wreath.
You can trim the bottom of the yarn to make sure everything is even.
Take a piece of ribbon and straighten it out.
Trim the ribbon to make it nice and even.
Take the heart that you cut out earlier.
Glue the ribbon onto the heart.
Loop the top piece of the ribbon.
Glue it down to the paper plate.
It should look like this as shown in the picture.
Once the wreath is completed, you can hang it up around the house or gift it to someone you care about.
