How to Make the Toilet Paper Roll Santa Pants
What you need:
- scissors
- glue
- two toilet paper rolls
- color paper (red, yellow) or paints
- black paper
- white paper
Step by Step Tutorial
You will need two toilet paper rolls for making this fun craft.
Wrap a piece of red paper around it and seal it with glue. You can have the kids paint the toilet paper rolls with red craft paint as well.
Tip: you can also have the kids paint old newspaper or other paper with red paint and wrap it around the paper roll.
Repeat the step with the second paper roll as you need two rolls to make the pants.
Have kids cut a strip of white paper and glue it around the bottom of the paper roll.
Repeat the step with the second paper roll.
To create Santa’s pants, apply a strip of glue to one of the paper rolls from top to bottom.
And glue the paper rolls together.
Tip: the glue will take a little while to set, we recommend using clothespins to hold the two paper rolls together while the glue dries.
The Santa’s pants need a belt, so have kids cut a wider strip of black paper.
Apply glue on the paper strip and wrap it around both of the paper rolls.
The belt also needs a buckle.
Cut out a small rectangle from yellow paper, fold it in half, and cut the inside part out to get the yellow “frame.”
Apply glue to the buckle and stick it on the belt.
The Santa’s pants need suspenders, so have kids cut two wide strips out of red paper and apply glue on the ends.
Then stick it inside the pants – one end should go on the back inside the roll, and the other on the front inner side.
Repeat the process with another red strip.
The suspenders overlap in the center.
See the “cross” position on the back inner side?
We love how these toilet paper roll Santa pants turned out!
