This is an easy no fuss project – you can print the precolored frog and go right into the play part or print the black and white craft template and have the kids color it in by themselves.
How to Make the Printable Frog Puppet
What you need:
- craft template
- paper
- scissors
- glue
- coloring supplies if printing the black and white template
Step by Step Instructions
Print out the frog puppet template. While this template works well with regular print paper, we always recommend heavier print paper for puppets.
For the black and white template, color it in before cutting. Your kids can color these with markers, coloring pencils or crayons as all the spaces to color are pretty big.
Cut out the outline of the puppet.
Also cut the two paper strips.
Fold along the dashed lines on the template.
There are 3 lines altogether – 2 next to the teeth and one in the centre of the mouth.
Make the folds nice and crisp. Run your fingers across each fold.
Bring the mouth lines together.
Fold along the dashed lines on the paper strips and apply glue on each end.
Glue the paper strips on the puppet to make “handles”
