Fall brings an abundance of fall colors, and oh how wonderful they are. This fall handprint craft capures the essence of this season and is a great project to do either at home or im the classrooom.
How to Make Fall Handprint Tree
What you need:
- toilet paper roll
- brown paint
- brown construction paper or recycled cerial boxes (and such) painted brown
- paper in fall colors
- scissors
- glue
- pencil or crayon
Step by Step Tutorial
Start by painting the toilet paper roll with brown paint.
You can also paint a bit of the inside. Let the paint dry.
Cut two slits, one across the other, on one end of the paper roll.
Trace your hand on the cardstock. Pencil or crayon do a nice job.
Cut out your hand outline. Round up the bottom part.
Cut small leaves out of fall colored papers x orange, yellow, brown, red, beige – these are all great colors to choose from.
Fold the little leaves in half to give them some dimension.
Add a bit of glue on the leaves and stick them on the handprint.
Add as many as you like.
Push the handprint into the two slits on the paper roll.
All done, your Fall Handprint Tree is ready for display.
