Turkeys are a fun crafting subject in fall and they also make a great Thanksgiving craft for kids. Whatever the occasion your kids are going to go crazy about these not so little birds.
These are super quick to make and kids love to play with them (also great for those fine motor skills).
Aren’t they the coolest? We adore the “weird” eyes one. Cray, cray!
How to Make Turkey Clothespin Puppets
What you need:
- printed turkey clothespin puppets template
- clothespin – wooden one works best
- scissors
- glue
- optional: coloring supplies
Step by Step Tutorial
Print out our templates. You’ll find 4 sheets – both left facing and right facing puppets in both full color and black and white version.
When you print the black and white version, the first thing you need to do is to color the turkey designs.
Next, cut out the turkey outline.
You’ll notice a straight line going through the head and the beak – cut along that line too, cutting the puppet in two pieces.
Apply glue on the clothespin.
Stick the two parts of the turkey on the clothespin.
All done!
Your silly turkey clothespin puppets are done (we assume you’ll want to make all 4 ;).
