If your kids are crazy about shark week you just have to give this fun paper plate shark craft project a try.
It’s such a cool one that we are sure kids will play with it a lot after they have made one for themselves.

We all know sharks to be very dangerous creatures, right? Do they have plenty of sharp teeth showing when they open their jaws too, right? But not this guy right? Just look at his happy grin.
We love making shark crafts here at Easy Peasy and Fun (just check out our how to draw a shark tutorial or these sweet shark paper puppets) and we are happy this happy go lucky shark joined the ranks. Nothing beats a friendly shark.
Paper Plate Shark Craft
What you need:
- two paper plates
- two googly eyes
- blue acrylic paint
- a pink acrylic paint
- a blue sparkly self-adhesive foam sheet
- a white sparkly self-adhesive foam sheet
- glue
- scissors
- pencil
- ruler with circle shapes
Ste by Step Instructions
Color one paper plate with some blue acrylic paint (on both sides).
Let it dry.
Color the other paper plate with some blue acrylic paint on the backside and with pink acrylic paint on the front side.
Let it dry.
Mouth
Fold the second paper plate in half (the pink side should be inside because that is the mouth of our shark).
Teeth
Draw two triangle-shaped teeth rows on the back of the white self-adhesive foam sheet using a pencil, then cut them out.
Apply some glue on top of the teeth rows…
… and glue one row on the upper jaw and the other row on the bottom jaw as shown in the pictures.
Eyes
On the back of the blue self-adhesive foam sheet, draw two eye-shapes using a pencil, and cut them out.
Apply some glue on the back of the googly eyes and place them on the blue foam sheet.
Here we have the eyes of our shark.
Put some glue at the bottom of the eye shapes and glue them on top of the head.
Attaching the head
Put some glue on half of the other paper plate and attach the shark head to it. Let it dry.
Tail
Draw a tail on the back of the blue foam sheet and cut it out.
Fin
Draw one shark fin, a rose thorn-like shape, cut it out, then trace it on the back of the blue foam sheet, so you have two equal parts to glue together.
Apply some glue on the bottom of the shark fin and place it in the middle, on top of the shark body …
… then apply some glue on the shark tail and attach it at the end of the shark body, on the backside of the paper plate.
Draw some small circles (use the ruler with circle shapes) on the back of the white foam sheet.
Cut them out and place them on the shark body.
Done!
Now go around your house and show your paper plate friend to everyone!
Happy crafting!
