How to make Bird Clothespin Puppets
What you need:
- print of our bird puppet template
- clothespins (wooden are best)
- glue
- scissors
- crayons, markers or coloring pencils for the color in version
Step by Step Tutorial
Start by printing one (or all) of our printable birds clothespin puppet templates. They work best when they are printed on cardstock / heavier print paper.
With the color in version, have the kids color the designs before they move to cutting. It’s just easier this way around.
Cut along the bird outlines.
Also cut along the “mouth” line.
Apply glue on the gripping area of the clothespin – if you are working with a wooden clothespin stick glue is enough to do a good job.
Glue the head and body onto the clothespin.
All done!
