How to Make the Paper Collage Bunny Craft
What you need:
- pencil
- scissors
- glue stick
- color paper (we chose beige, gray, and pink)
- black marker
Step by Step Tutorial
You will need a sheet of paper (construction paper is best) as a background for this Easter art project. We went with a sheet of warm beige paper. Your kids can choose any color they want, but it’s best to choose something that will give a nice contrast to the bunny you are making.
Sketch it out
Making this project is easiest if you make the outline that you will later fill with paper scraps. Start by drawing a circle in the middle of the sheet.
Continue by drawing two big ears on top of the circle.
Next draw the body.
The Head
Have the kids tear up the paper they will use for their bunny. They will need many smaller pieces.
Apply glue at a portion inside the bunny body outline.
It’s time to start the fun! Stick the torn paper pieces on the bunny’s head.
It’s easiest if they start at the outlines and work their way inside.
Fill up the whole area, one at a time.
The Ears and Body
You can leave the inside of the ears blank or fill them in and cover them with other colored paper.
We made th inner part of the bunny’s ears pink. So, have young artists tear up the pink or other colored paper into smaller pieces.
Apply glue to the inner side of the ears.
And glue the pink pieces inside.
The Face
Glue on a pair of googly eyes.
This bunny also needs a nose. Let the kids cut out a nose shape, it can be round, square or even heart shaped.
With a black marker, draw a tiny bunny’s mouth.
All done!
We think our bunny is adorable!
