Time to decorate the windows or to catch the sun rays with this amazing looking Faux Stain Glass Heart Suncatcher. This tutorial will show you how your kids or students can quickly make their own. This would make a wonderful project for the classroom, can’t you just see the heart filled windows.
Faux Stain Glass Heart Suncatcher
What you need
Pink/red/white tissue paper squares
Clear contact paper
8×11 piece of paper
Scissors
Sharpie
Hole puncher
Red/white twine
Hold your piece of paper in half width wise and cut out a large half heart on the folded side so when you open it that it becomes a full heart.
Open up a 18×22″ piece of contact paper, lay your heart underneath the contact paper, sticky side facing up.
Start placing your tissue paper squares all over paper covering the heart.
Once your contact paper over the heart below is filled, fold the other side of your sticky contact paper over on top of your tissue paper side.
Carefully press down to prevent and creases.
Trace your heart template onto your tissue papered contact paper and cut out.
Use a hole puncher to punch a hole onto the top center of your heart and string a piece of red and white twine through to hang on your window.
