How to make 3D Frog Life Cycle Craft
¸
What you need:
- our butterfly life cycle model template
- heavier print paper / cardstock
- scissors
- glue
- optional: coloring supplies if printing the black and white version
Step by step tutorial
Print out the templates – the precolored one or the black and white 3d diorama. With the black and white template, the first step you need to take is to color it in.
Cut out the diorama parts – cut along the outer full line.
Cut all 4 parts.
Next fold along the dashed line on the diorama template.
Make the folds nice and crisp.
Run your fingers across the folds or use a craft stick.
Apply glue on the area marked with the word glue.
Push the part with the glue word under the quarter circle part and stick them together. You will get a quarter of a cylinder shape.
Repeat with the other 3 parts.
Now glue them together.
Start by gluing the first two together – apply glue across the whole side of one of them and stick them together.
Wait for the glue to set.
Continue with the remaining ones.
Now cut out the frog life cycle parts.
You can include the name parts or exclude them.
You will notice dashed lines and words glue on each of the parts.
Fold along the dashed lines and apply the glue where designated.
For eggs, fold along the dashed line, apply glue and stick them somewhere in the water.
Next it’s the tadpole phase, fold the two parts…
…and stick inside the diorama as shown on the image bellow.
Next is the froglet, you can make it so that the head is sticking out of the water.
Last is the frog.
First stick the lillypad on the diorama.
And then stick the frog on top of the lillypad.
You can also stick the names of each stage of the frog life cycle on the diorama.
All done, your 3D Frog Life Cycle Craft is ready for display.
