This has got to be the most wonderful flower toilet paper roll craft ever. It’s fun to make, it has a lot of emphasis on fine motor skills and when completed it looks amazing.
You won’t be disappointing with a home or classroom display with a bunch of these toilet paper roll flowers (but do use kitchen paper towel rolls or store bought paper rolls for classroom crafting).

We made a similar toilet paper roll butterfly not so long ago and together with this flower, they make a great pair for a crafting session. You can combine the two and make them both on the same canvas and even paint other details (thumbprint bees for example). Let the imagination guide you.
Why stick with regular toilet paper roll crafts when you can make an arty project such as this one right? Although we do love regular toilet paper roll crafts too.

How to Make a Flower Toilet Paper Roll Craft
What you need:
- kitchen paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls (store bough ones are great too)
- various paints
- paintbrush
- canvas or cardstock for the base
- white school glue
- paper plate (or something else to hold the glue)
- scissors
Step by Step Instructions
Flatten the paper roll and cut it into strips/loops. We were aiming for 6 toilet paper roll strips out of one roll. You will need 9 paper roll strips.
6 of the strips will be used for flower petals. Flatten the roll and fold it on one end (about a finger away from the edge) and unfold.

Un-flatten and push the fold “in”. You should be seeing a triangle like shape. Repeat with the other 5. Set them aside.
Take another paper roll strip and shape it into a circle.
Arrange the paper roll strips on the canvas. Start with the circle and then petals around.
Pour glue on the paper plate. Take one of the petals, or the circle, dip it into white school glue and stick it back on it’s place on the canvas.
Repeat with all other parts.
Also glue two paper roll strips on the bottom of the canvas to make the leaves.
Let the glue dry completely before moving forward.
Once the glue has dried, start painting inside of the paper roll strips.
A variety of colors can be used.
Also paint the stem.
