Making snails out of chestnuts is pretty easy, all you need is some play dough or clay if you want to have them for a longer time.
It’s a great work out for fine motor skills.
You can even paint the chestnuts, however we prefer their natural look.

How to Make the Chestnut Snail Craft
What you need:
- two googly eyes
- air dry clay
- craft knife
- one chestnut
- black liner
- hot glue
Step by Step Instructions
Make a snail body shape using air-dry clay.
Make a mold with the chestnut as shown in the picture.
Craft two snail antennae and attach them to the body.
Take out the chestnut and let the clay dry completely.
Apply some hot glue inside the mold.
Place the chestnut in.
Attach two googly eyes on the face and after that draw a smiling mouth using the black liner.
All done!
