This winter craft is perfect for all ages as it’s a simple one to make.

How to Make the Winter Clothesline Craft

What you need:

• printable template
• scissors
• glue
• two wooden craft sticks
• yarn
• paint white for snow and optionally another for craft sticks
• paintbrush
• light blue or other color cardstock
• coloring supplies

Step by Step Tutorial

Print out the template with clothes images.

Have kids color the clothes they want to display: either all or just a selected few.

We used reds for one sweater, the hat, and the scarf, but kids can color them however they wish.

Kids can use any colors they want.

Winter clothes look pretty if they’re colorful!

Have kids cut them out along the dashed lines.

Paint two wooden craft sticks and let them dry or just leave them in their natural color.

Cut a piece of yarn so it is a bit longer than the blue cardstock’s width.

Have kids make a knot on the top of one craft stick.

And another knot on the other stick to secure it.

Then, have kids glue the sticks to the cardstock, each on one side.

It’s time to “hang” the clothes to the clothesline using glue.

Some final touches with white paint – we used a sponge dabber, but kids can paint the snowflakes with their fingers or a paintbrush.

The winter clothesline craft is completed!
